This website is offered as a free service to customers and potential customers of The Barge Pub, 63 Layfield Road, Gillingham, Kent, a licenced premises and live music venue. The purpose of this website is to give information about The Barge and to list the events which we host.

The information offered on this website is accurate to the best of our knowledge, and every effort is made to ensure that all listings are kept up to date, but changes to the event schedule can and do occur, and we accept no responsibility for any hardship or loss suffered by any persons which may come about due to errors or inaccuracies in our data.

Similarly, we can not be held responsible for the accuracy of any information regarding events at the Barge on other listings websites, as this is totally out of our control.

This website uses a temporary 'session' cookie to aide navigation and user options throughout the site. No personal data is stored in this cookie, and it is designed to be automatically deleted when you close your web browser. We do not store 'permanent' or 'persistent' cookies from this website.

Privacy

We believe that your privacy is paramount and we have no need or desire to collect any personal information about you while you use this website. Your IP address, and the pages you visit on the site along with a timestamp are stored in our webserver logs. This information is used to perform statistical analysis of visitor usage patterns. This is standard practice for most websites. No other information about you is collected while you use this site.

If you choose to join our free mailing list we will need to collect and store your name, email address and the IP address and date and time at which you signed up. This information is kept in a secure database and is accessible only to the website administrator. It is used solely for the purpose of maintaining and delivering the mailing list, and will never be passed on to any other party.

Our mailing list is based on an 'opt-in' principle, meaning that when you enter your details a message will be sent to the specified email address requesting the recipient to click on a link in order to confirm that they are the owner of that email address and that they do want to receive our mail. Until this has been done, no further messages will be sent to that email address. We do this to prevent 'malicious' or 'prank' sign-ups, whereby somebody will use somebody else's email address to register. We hate spam and have no wish to send unwanted email messages to anybody.
